19 of the Russian's twenty-one championships have been achieved on hard courts
A comeback Medvedev won his maiden championship for 882 days with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the competition final.
The athlete, a former number one, has endured a challenging period, winning just one win at the major tournaments and undergoing a meltdown at the US Open.
The player's inconsistency on the professional circuit - and struggles with his serving in specific - resulted in him exiting of the top ten and finally parting ways with long-time coach his previous coach.
Presently working with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has consistently progressed in the past month - peaking in a closely contested three-set triumph over challenger Moutet.
It is Medvedev's initial trophy since the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard surface after that period of that year.
The win also indicates Medvedev has achieved 21 titles at 21 various events.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a event with my both daughters together, so to get a trophy is really nice," stated ranked player Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my younger daughter my daughter, because the first title I achieved when my older daughter Alisa was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his past six finals, featuring in that event in the past months.
Medvedev's retrieving strategy and recurring reactions on court had led observers to question if his capacity to perform at the elite level was finished.
However the athlete has altered his approach in the past month, making an effort to advance forward and play assertively, backed up by an improved service.
The champion came back from a disadvantage in the initial set against the challenging Moutet, securing 4 of the concluding five points to gain the advantage.
The pair exchanged service breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, striving for his first professional victory, gained dominance to push for a final set.
He defended four early chances in a tight final set before the champion broke to fifteen to serve for the match.
Suitably, Medvedev clinched the win with a shot at the front of the court, with the Frenchman failing to handle a volley after a lengthy match.
